The Rise of the Ragen, a Novel by Thatcher
First novel after his hiadas a vinely, and is about precisely that gap. Follows a group of washed up shippies and ex radicals as they attempt to navigate the new world of oragan. Funnily enough, i think, without giving too much of the pot away, the the book ends with this of the villain of the story,. A marcho s cop type who works for some pan american intelligence agency. At the end of the book, hea, he's whisked away because his funding has been cut. So, you know, the th spectre of ragen hovers over even even the villains of pensioners novels.
