The African Renaissance: A Global Rise

The first series was called Africa Renaissance. This is called Africa Rising. Is it about African Renaissance being located when there's a certain kind of work that was made at a certain time? And you wanted to project it as a much broader context. Yeah, I think it reflects the scale of the art we were witnessing and also the ambition of the programme itself. It's hard to choose countries. We've tried to really reflect the diversity of the continent. You know, within Nigeria, there's more than 1000 languages spoken. That's just one country. So we're just trying to be fair to that big regional spread.
