Charlie Brown Christmas
My family, like many other British families, spend most Christmases watching The Snowman. Illustrator Raymond Briggs' tale of Wanda and Loss was made our own because we had a really rare VHS version which was introduced by David Bowie as the boy. I didn't celebrate Christmas at all until I met Alisa as my wife when I was 25 years old. Watching Charlie Brown Christmas was really my only connection to the holiday. Even now, the soundtrack is still in steady rotation in our house. And my kids and I usually watch her together at least once a season. It's full of charming, simple animation that captures the childhood naivety of anticipating Christmas.
