Consumption Versus Creation
I think it depends on what you're consuming. I listen to a lot of books. There'll be topics that I get very interested in. So I would not have moved into this project without consuming something. When I worked on the Mary Todd Lincoln book, my personal reading, through all that time, I only read books that were written in the mid-1800s or were set in the 1800s. That was hugely, hugely helpful.
