A lot of these patients are going to be suffering pretty significant pain, either at rest or on movement. And so that means we have to absolutely nail our analgesic strategies to improve the patient's experience. One paper even found that up to 40% of patients haven't received any analgesia at all. So given those problems with splinting and the likelihood of increased pain during the pre-hospital journey, I think a good analgesic strategy is really important.
