The Importance of Sharing
Late that night I saw an Afghan family come to help the other Afghan families. Their kids took to other Afghan kids, separated by the border wall. They passed crayons through the wall, and colouring books. The father of the family had worked in the Army Corps of Engineers. He'd been to the border before to build this section of the wall. Another volunteer who we heard from yesterday came from a local group called Pana. Hamayra had been at the wall since 5 in the morning and it was getting on for 5pm when we spoke. She said: "It takes a lot for a mother to pick up her infant child and to leave where she's coming from
