Capitalism Is Not All There Is

We're encouraged to numb our stress via isolating endeavors that just trigger dopamine, Netflix, scrolling on Tinder or other related sites. We're all enticed by this culture to try to mitigate our stress, not by collectively connecting. The economist Adam Smith created a literally a false narrative that attempted to make capitalism seem both natural and inevitable. He basically wrote many, many times in his famous works that before capitalism, the system that human beings relied on to manage culture was bartering.
