The Complex Relationship Between Word and War
We have a very, very complex relationship with Word, don't we? I think as individuals, we find Word to be reprehensible. As nation states, we seem to always be ready and prepared to go to battle. So where do you want to start? I think the best place to start is to kind of set the course within a larger context. And from my standpoint, that larger context is the mixed attitudes towards war and violence in the world's great religious traditions and even in contemporary spirituality.
