The Shalom of the Rabbinic Controversies in Italy
It was a quite public am cont and what happens is that several of the several of the rabanim are reluctant to have open controversy. Lay people and simple people don't understand what the stakes are in these rabinic controversies. All they know is that the s are insulting one another, banning one another. Ad it ends up they believe in more of a hilel hashem than allowing one heretic to peddle his books. And so it was really a difficult split, and that's, that's why it became a controversy, right?
