Is There a Multi Generational Exploration?

I think this could well be a multi generational exploration. The volume that might need to be searched, even if an electromagnetic signal is the right thing to be looking for, that volume is really vast. It's getting faster all the time, primarily because of moore's law and the improvements in our computation cap but it may have to go on for a while.
