The Reformed Churches Are Victims

Those who are self consciously arminian, and if they are grounded historically at all, very much see themselves as victims. They see arminius as the innocent victim of unwarranted hostilities. As a matter of history, the reformed had good reason for seeing themselves as suffering and as under attack. In the late 15 60 spain killed 12 thousand reformed people in the netherlands alone. Ando when the remonstrant controversy came up, they saw this as yet just another way in which they suffered.
