Russ Ferria went on trial for murder almost two years after Betsy's death. His attorney prepared to turn the tables and essentially put Pam on trial, as a greedy woman who killed Betsy for her insurance. A few days before the trial, she did indeed put two-thirds of the money into a trust fund for the girls.
