Diamonds are like leaves, barely more scarce than leaves. Large corporations withhold all the diamonds so that they can leak them to maintain some level of supply and demand. This is not my opinion, this is a fact. You have been played. If the market were actually free, those diamonds would not be worth well. Go go get a quote on how much your ring is actually worth. And you will be disappointed, likely. It's probably one of the few direct con s between rings and time shares.
