The Importance of Dual Sequencing in Emergency Department Arrest

Dr. Cheskis: The big question that I ask myself now is why not do dual sequence right off the bat? He says survival from cardiac arrest in VF after one shock, it's pretty good. After two shocks, you're up at 40%, three shocks, as he mentioned earlier, is about 30%. So my own feeling is that standard AL defibrillation is likely okay for the first three shocks.
