Eisenhower's Plan for Nuclear War

In the 1950s, President Eisenhower and his Secretary of State John Foster Dettles called massive retaliation. The plan was that if the Soviets tried to cut off a little piece of West Germany or whatever, we would retaliate. Even if China had nothing to do with the war, it was calculated that this would probably kill about 285 million people.
