The History of Computers
The first computers Vic used were the VIC-20 on. When you turned them on, you got a place where you could type. But boy, was it more complicated than basic? Let me tell you. The Mac was a very big change for him for many ways. It was the first computer I used that was not essentially, this is a tool for writing and running programs. And even the early 2000s weren't quite as bad once RAM started getting cheaper in the mid 1990s. Like John says, when you're a kid, using these slow computers feels like an eternity.
