I Think the Gap Is Bigger in the Western Pacific.
How big is that gap that needs to be filled? I think it depends on which dimension of the problem we're talking about. In some areas, i think the gap is closing, and just not closing rapidly enough. There is a much bigger gap when it comes to near term posturing capability improvements in the western pacific. It's also plausible that shishin ping might draw the lesson that nuclear coercion works.
