The Palaces of the Middle Bronze Age

At the end of this first international age, central crete changed little. The inhabitants of troy repeatedly built over the layers of destruction. After around two thousand b c when things picked back up, crete became the leading light of this world. This period called the middle manoent saw the emergence of the first palaces on the island. They were large monumental buildings that seem to have served as residences of powerful people and administrative hubs for the surrounding region.
