How to Be a Prepared Student?

According to vedanta, you should have conquered raga and duesa. Few gain enlightenment for these two reasons. Lack of adi caditum, lack of preparedness or conversey presence of raga duasha among other problems. Second reason is lack of access to a proper teaching. If you read the bagavad gita without a teacher to explain what it really means, you're not going to get much out of it.
