The Origins of the Morian Empire
The Moria had an influx of Greco-Macedonians, whether settlers from the time of Alexander or adventurers and traders looking to make their fortune. Some of these Greeks adopted Buddhism, especially during the time of Ashoka,. who sent missionaries like Damarakita, aka Demetrius, and Mahara-akita into territories largely settled by Greeks in the northwest territories of Gandhar and Kandahar. The death of Ashoka the Great in 232 BC generally marks the end of the height of the Morian Empire.
