Do You Think Globalization Is Bringing Us Closer Together?
In many ways globalization, which is happening very quickly, you can even see differences in generations are speeding up. So because globalization is bringing people together so quickly and without context, that for me, it is fueling misunderstanding. In the U.S., certainly our country has been enriched by people who come from other countries. You can see fusion of various types of foods, whether Asian foods and Western foods or Latin foods and Western Foods. There is something of a coming together on some levels. But the premise of my book is this, these changes fueled by technology and to a large extent by migration, I think is causing people to come together without any context.
