Introduction

The country club plaza turns 100 years old this year. It was the world's first ever uniformly planned, automobile oriented regional shopping centre. The plaza evokes a lot of memories and emotions for people around here. We can't tell this story without digging into the complicated and lasting legacy of its creator, j c Nichols.
