A Brief History of Egypt
The king's soldiers and laborers spread throughout the deserts, journeying into the adi hamamat no less than three times. A small statue erected in the sinai peninsula shows that senuseret despatched an expedition here at some point during his reign. Such prosperity must have seemed to the egyptians to be the highest blessing from the gods.
