The Voice of Charles, the Child Was Called Charles

The voice of charles's mother is nowhere recorded in the archive. He was a happy child, but he became the subject of her great experiment in education. She wanted and needed a child on whom she could test her theories about how children learned. It was a reading prime that allowed children to see a version of themselves on the page. And they were really among the first to pioneer this mode of publishing.
