Codependency as a Disease?
The idea of pathologizing caretaking is also part of the concerns about co dependency. I didn't even realize that it had been thought of as like a disease. It's interesting because we also talk about addiction as a disease, right? And yet, the care taking that some one might do for someone with the disease of alcoholism, ediction, were much quicker to pathologize that into saying, like, that's codependenc or, that's enabling. We are going to get into that a little bit more slightly later. But i ye tha, that is something within all this research that i found truly fascinating and and something to think about.
