The Unfeminine Conduct of Margaret Thornton
There's a spectacular riot in this book in which she tries to come. First of all, Thornton tries unsuccessfully to calm the rioters who come into his yard. And then she goes out and attempts it and her stone hits her. But the rioters go away. Big thing that seems to me from what you've written offended people,. That she took off her bonnet and her hair was loose, why she spoke. Why was that a big deal and I'm I right? It's absolutely all right. Throughout Victorian novels, you find out if a woman takes off her Bonnet, then she's about to be almost sexualized and certainly passionate.
