The Senate Bill Reforming the Electoral Count Act
On Tuesday, the Senate bill reforming the Electoral Count Act advanced out of committee by a wide margin 14 to one. Ted Cruz was the lone vote against the bill saying it quote decreases the ability of Congress to address instances of fraud. The final vote in the Senate is not likely to come until after the midterms. Susan Collins said her goal is to have the bill passed by the end of the year and in particular before presidential campaigns start up next year.
