CT and Spinal Cord Injuries

Rahul: The patient's labs were consistent with a blood gas that showed metabolic acidosis. EKG was notable for sinus bradycardia with no evidence of heart blood. We send the patient for a CT scan only once the patient was deemed to be stable and what the CT scan showed was a T2 spinal cord injury. Rahul: There was also an associated T5 vertebral fracture. This may have been related to the trauma which we got in history.
