The Transformative Technology Bubble
The excitement right now and the multiples that investors are willing to pay both in the public and the private markets is based on what they think is a transformative technology. I guess what it comes down to is commodization, right? So at some point, this technology is further away from commercialization and gets commoditized. And all the excitement around it abates. Yeah, like to me, that seems obvious to me. Putting your finger on one that happens, that's the hard part.
