i would say it for two reasons. When the science start to come out, forty, five, 50 years ago, when it goes back further than that, but in the public sphere, the science was very much about future existential threat. And nobody listend to it, really, because the brain isn't wired to respond tofuture existential threat. Our ancestors were really good at responding to current existential threat. That's how the brain is wired. So there you have most people listening to feartread, blame, shame, guilt. Those are the most uninspiring, sadder words you can imagine to create action"
