Is Every Traffic Stop Automatically at Attention?
The Supreme Court has said that you don't have the same rights of privacy in a vehicle as you do in your home. Police officers actually have more ability to conduct searches without a warrant than they would for places where, you know, for a house or a location that doesn't move. The police officer is the one who decides for himself whether he has probable cause to conduct a search. So we're obligated to share additional information when we're in our vehicle.
