Do Westerners Really Understand the Chinese Acceleration in Science?

I think Western media has played a very important role here in poisoning the perceptions of many people around the world, certainly the anglophone world. I'm sure you know too, Jason, we've seen this downward spiral, not just in China-US relations, but American perceptions of China and the Chinese. If people could more understand this and accept it and maybe overcome some of these distortions, that the world would be a better place.
