The Importance of Letters Training in Early Literacy Classes
College faculty in Mississippi are not required to do letters training. It's in the best interest of those who teach early literacy classes since their students will not become licensed teachers unless they pass reading tests. I interviewed several of the women in this training. They were elementary school teachers before they became college instructors. And they're grateful to be learning it now.
