The Importance of Standardizing Responses

In order to generate efficiency in large bureaucratic organizations, what you need to do is standardize responses. If I am going to make an assembly line, I need to make every part interchangeable so that some random guy can just come in and pick up the work where it got started. This also transfers over to humans. We talk about diversity, but we don't have any. We specifically work to eliminate diversity. It's really important that across our culture and across our institutions, we homogenize the way that people interact with those institutions.
