How to Translate a Book
I feel a lot of affection for Chongqong's aunt, who is very much in the background. She attempts to run away, she tries to break free, and she just can't do it. And I think she's the most obvious symptom of something that afflicts a lot of people in this novel. You kind of have to have empathy with everyone and care for all the characters as you would have, if you were a writer. But yeah, what do you make of the style and how much readers got to put in?
