Is There a Recession on the Horizon?

I don't think there's a recession on the horizon over the course of the next 12 months, right? There's a very long lead time between policy and implementation when you're raising interest rates. It would probably take a seismic shock of some sort in order to derail it at this point. I mean, like my colleagues and I really do believe that the Fed is intent on slowing the US economy,. The same with the European Central Bank. Maybe they're a year behind the Fed. And at some point in time, maybe the Japanese will tighten monetary policy with a new central bankhead.
