Soreelistic Pillow - A History of the Hippie Scene
Soreelistic Pillow was released in 1967. Garcia came up with the album title, when after listening to some of the recordings he said, that's as surrealistic as a pillow. The first single from the album, My Best Friend, had no more success than their earlier recordings and didn't make the heart 100. They finally broke with cats as their manager, bringing Bill Thompson in as a temporary replacement.
