The Mythology of Property and Civilization
Eliotes: The characteristics of property up till now have been that, not only the defining characteristic, but possibly even the primary motive for civilization itself. He says we need to grast a quoto quote, mythology, a narrative way of understanding that landscape in order to most fruitfully engage it. And there's pretty big aversion in the modern secular world to the notion that mythology is quot real, or narrative is real and necessary in some way,. But i don't see why this stage in our technological evolution will necessitate any other kind of story than what biin may take.
