Is It a Betrayal of Science?
Science is all about doing it in spite of the lack of miracles. Once you allow a miracle to get smuggled in, then you've sold the path. You've given up on siles. You've betrayed siles. And i'm not just talking about supernatural. Even if you deal with the hard problem of consciousness, maybe it's just a conceptioal problem. Our concepts about consciousness are such that we can't solve it in some scientific way.
