In the early seventies, there were all kinds of conflicts and tensions over integration in the austen, texas school system. Eliot arronson was this prominent twentieth century social psychologist. He created a method of education where it was no longer each student learning for him or herself. And he found that this had a really marked influence on racial relations in the schools as well as actually leading to better learning.
