The Relationship Between Energy and Life
When we talk about energy, this word, it's an abstraction over that entire domain of transformations. We tend to see things because what's closest to us is the way that that flow interacts with our lives or intersects with our lives. And as they tap into that, because of the energy entropy relation, there's always some sort of instability or randomness or increased heat in your local system. But fundamentally, if you kind of understand the overall emergent set of all living processes in the biome, constantly creating these side effects, but also searching for other processes that can take those as inputs and create pathways that are closed.
