How Wi-Fi Encoding Can Improve Indoor Map Calculation
Wi-Fi encoding allows us to create these multi-dimensional estimates of where the timing event has occurred. Wi-Fi is based on OFDM and so you have hundreds of tones each of which have a phase and amplitude change when it bounces off something. You can actually calculate what's called the impulse response of the of the building and figure out exactly when that original event occurred with some error.
