The Psychological Cost of Accommodating the Disorder
As children get older, the psychological cost of accommodating the disorder becomes more apparent. Many patients never reveal that they have lived or are living in hoarding homes and increased disclosure by hoarding can curtail its long-term effects. We're in the early days of taking on hoarding but it is something that needs to be done.
