The West Stole enormous amounts of fossil fuels from the developing world to help it develop. When we lost that control over like cheaper than otherwise would be energy for our societies, guess what? Massive inflation. One reason we had the Great Depression is linked to this as well. It's just that there in the monetary system and the technology of the monetary system. And this is at the heart of the thesis of my upcoming book.
