The Rise of Chat GPT Fleeceware
Fleeceware is an easy model. All you have to do is build some crap app that does something and then charge a lot of money for it. Some of them even went so far as to actually use the chat GPT API, which I think is pretty audacious. Once you install them, they immediately go to being Nagware. My suggestion is always look for the telltale C distribution. That is lots of five-star reviews and lots of one-star reviews, but very little in between.
