The Relationship Between Elegy and Mourning

I wondered what your relationship was with the series of mourning because you've mentioned before quite a bit and Emily Barry I know you've come for pairs as a character almost in some of your poems. Well so mine and Denise's relationship actually arose because Denise was my PhD supervisor. My book Stranger Baby was written as part of a creative and critical PhD and the critical part was a study of contemporary elegy. So I read quite a bit about elegy and mourning and that's my, I don't know what my relationship to it is just that I've read a bit of it and have some thoughts about it, some of which have emerged this evening.
