Colossal Biosciences Launches De-Extinction of the Dodo Bird

A company called Colossal Biosciences has launched an initiative with the goal of de-extinction. The resurrection of the dodo is a theoretical possibility, and they're crediting Beth Shapiro in ancient DNA. It will involve an interspecies germline transfer of pigeon primordial germ cells into a surrogate chicken host.
