The Importance of Education in Classical Music
For most people who haven't been educated to appreciate classical music, just they're not going to have that judgment. Your standard is not just any old person, it's someone who has the requisite virtues or the requisite education. So you could even argue if someone has been sufficiently exposed to classical music and educated properly in it, then there's no way they could choose pop music over that. There's more meat on the bone, and that's sort of what makes it objectively better.
