Cryptocurrency - Is Decentralization a Good Thing?

One of the chief pitches of crypto is decentralization, but we keep seeing this trend of centralization anyway. How do you fight this tendency towards re centralization? There are signs that there are different self-sustaining providers and internally they're trying to be more decentralized. And i definitely have been getin getting more open to this, a viewpoint that if you want some particular layer of anego system to be decentralized, then that decentralization has to be, to some degree, an intentional and ongoing effort.
