LZ: The way we did it was by delving into what are the things that we agree on and being very careful about our terminology. LZ: I want to talk for a moment about segregation in the United States, racial segregation. Most of us would find a way to work this Supreme Court case Brown versus Board of Education into the first sentence or two. But actually by 1953, 54, when Brown was heard and decided segregation was already well on its way to the ash heap of American history.
